The sun shines a little brighter. The flowers bloom. Locals and tourists alike stroll down the brick sidewalks of the historic district. Colorful sails are hoisted up across the water. Restaurant patios come alive with patrons. Spring has arrived in Annapolis and whether you’re just visiting or looking to lay down roots, it’s a great time of the year to experience Maryland’s capital city.

Pick a weekend and head to the historic district. There are so many reasons to enjoy an afternoon downtown under the spring sun. Visit unique boutiques, stroll along the waterfront and work up an appetite, then choose from a wide array of acclaimed dining destinations ranging from casual pubs to fine dining.
Art enthusiasts will enjoy the First Sunday Arts Festivals that run along West Street from noon to five each first Sunday of the month through the season. It includes over 180 local vendors, street performers, musicians and much more. And one of our favorite annual street festivals, Maryland Avenue Earth Day Fest, will be held later this month on April 23.
